Monday 22nd February
Much was achieved today but time will only permit a picture gallery and a brief report today.
Vic continued with the good work on the embankment
A vast improvement to how it looked just a few weeks ago
Clive, with the help of Paul and Peter, made a start on a retaining wall on the landward side of platform 2 footbridge tower
The station building saw more progress on the foul water drainage system.
Paul, again, Tony and Brian helped John C with this important job
Some soil had to be removed to aid the process
T'other John and Jo took the opportunity to fit the signal box nameplate and some of the window bars for good measure

As it looks now |
signal box looks brilliant chaps,Broadways gonna be the best station in preservation.
ReplyDeleteGreat to have a Monday report. Well done and thank you. Many thanks also to Vic for all his work and especially his dedication. He is a real credit to his age age group and an inspiration to us all. By the way, the signal box is the bee's knees!
